De wet werkt met graden: hoe hoger de overschrijding, hoe zwaarder de sanctie.<\/p>\n<h2>Van boete tot dagvaarding<\/h2>\n<p>Beperkte overschrijdingen worden afgehandeld met een onmiddellijke inning. Vanaf een bepaalde overschrijding \u2014 en zeker in een zone 30, een schoolomgeving of een bebouwde kom \u2014 volgt een dagvaarding voor de politierechtbank. Dan riskeert u naast een geldboete ook een verval van het recht tot sturen.<\/p>\n<h2>Waar de meting betwistbaar is<\/h2>\n<p>Een vaststelling staat niet zomaar vast. Wij gaan na of het toestel geijkt en gehomologeerd was, of de correctiemarge correct is toegepast, of de bemande controle volgens de regels verliep en of de identificatie van de bestuurder sluitend is.<\/p>\n<h2>Herhaling weegt zwaar<\/h2>\n<p>Recidive binnen de wettelijke termijn verzwaart de strafmaat aanzienlijk en maakt een rijverbod veel waarschijnlijker.
