Niet elke verkeersinbreuk leidt tot een zitting.<\/p>\n<h2>Wanneer er geen zitting komt<\/h2>\n<p>Bij lichtere overtredingen ontvangt u een onmiddellijke inning of een voorstel tot minnelijke schikking. Betaalt u binnen de termijn, dan vervalt de strafvordering en komt er geen zaak voor de rechter.<\/p>\n<h2>Wanneer u wel gedagvaard wordt<\/h2>\n<p>Bij zwaardere feiten, bij herhaling, bij een ongeval of wanneer u het voorstel niet betaalt. De dagvaarding wordt door een gerechtsdeurwaarder betekend en vermeldt plaats, datum en uur van de zitting.<\/p>\n<h2>Moet u er persoonlijk zijn?<\/h2>\n<p>In de meeste gevallen niet: uw advocaat kan u vertegenwoordigen. Bij zware feiten of wanneer de rechter u wil horen, is uw aanwezigheid wel aangewezen.
