The four levels of speeding in Belgium
- First level (1 to 10 km/h above): A fine, but no driving ban.
- Second level (11 to 20 km/h above): higher fine, optional driving ban.
- Third degree (21 to 30 km/h above): fine, optional driving ban (mandatory in the event of a repeat offense).
- Level 4 (more than 30 km/h above): A fine and a mandatory driving suspension of at least 8 days.
