Which police court have you been summoned before?
Each police court (politierechtbank / tribunal de police) has its own hearing days, registry and practices. We plead before the Brussels police court, which comprises a Dutch-speaking and a French-speaking court and where we plead in both languages; before the Halle police court, for offences committed in Halle and the neighbouring municipalities; before the Vilvoorde police court, for the northern outskirts of Brussels and the airport area; before the Leuven police court, which has jurisdiction over the entire judicial district of Leuven; and before the Aalst police court, a division of the East Flanders police court.
